Class 1: Best Turned Out Pony and Rider. Pony up to and including 14.2hh/148cm. Rider 12 years and under. Lead rein accepted. Ponies to be plaited. The Kerry Harris Memorial Perpetual Challenge Trophy for ponies 12.2hh and under. The Priestly Perpetual Challenge Trophy, kindly given by Mr. & Mrs Rex Priestly for ponies exceeding 12.2hh but not exceeding 14.2hh.

Class 2: Concours d'elegance * To be ridden astride or side saddle. Open to horses and ponies. Riders any age. Costumes or traditional allowed. To be judged on the overall picture of elegance presented by horse/pony and rider including appearance, conformation, and individual show.

Class 3: Best Pony and Rider. Pony not exceeding 12.2hh/128cm. Lead rein The Silver Myth Memorial Trophy for best pony kindly given by Mrs. D Kennedy Hart.

Class 4: Best Pony and Rider. Pony not exceeding 12.2hh/128cm. Off Lead Rein. Hougham George Trophy kindly given by Mrs Pat Barthorpe.

Class 5: Small Riding Horse * Exceeding 14.2hh/148cm and not exceeding 15.2hh/158cm. Rider any age. The 'Apple Pip' Perpetual Trophy kindly donated by Mrs Lorraine Stimson Read.
Class 6: Large Riding Horse * To exceed 15.2hh/158cm. Rider any age. The 'Marksman' Perpetual Cup kindly donated by Miss V. Patricia Allinson.

Competitors may enter both classes 5 and 6 but not on the same horse.

1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 5 and 6 to come forward for the B.D.
Omar Memorial Perpetual Challenge Trophy donated and presented by Mr K.J.
Omar & Miss J.E. Omar. (PLEASE NOTE: this championship is not related to
Equestrian Life Qualifiers)

Class 7: Ridden Hunter * 
To exceed 15.2hh/158cm. Rider any age. The Perpetual Challenge Trophy kindly given by Mrs David Newton

Class 8: Riding Cob *
Exceeding 14.2hh/148cm. Special for highest placed coloured. The Deedee Memorial Perpetual Trophy kindly donated by Mrs. T. A. Brown.

Class 9: Lead Rein Pony * Open to ponies not exceeding 12hh/122cms, mare or geldings, four years old and over. Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday on the 1st January in the current year.

Class 10: First Ridden Pony * Open to ponies not exceeding 12.2hh/128cms mares or gelding, four years old and over. Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday on the 1st January in the current year. To be shown in any suitable snaffle bridle.

Class 11: Best Ridden Pony * Open to ponies exceeding 12.2hh/128cms but no exceeding 13.2hh/138cms, mare and geldings, four years old and over.  Riders any age but to be a suitable size and weight for the pony. (Excluding Lead Rein and First Ridden who are not eligible for this class).

Class 12: Best Ridden Pony * Open to ponies exceeding 13.2hh/138cms but no exceeding 14.2hh/148cms, mare and geldings, four years old and over.  Riders any age but to be a suitable size and weight for the pony. The Gunnerby mark Royal Trophy kindly presented by Miss V Myers.

RIDING PONY CHAMPIONSHIP
1st and 2nd prize winners from Classes 9,10,11 and 12 to Come forward for the Bainland Country Park Perpetual Trophy. (PLEASE NOTE: this Championship is not related to Equestrian Life Qualifiers).
 
Class 13: Ridden Skewbald/Piebald Combined Class *
Horses and Ponies, mare or gelding, four years old and over. No height restriction.

Class 14: Ridden Mountain and Moorland Small and Large Breeds *
Open to pure breeds only. Mare or gelding, four years old or over. No stallions allowed. Riders to be a suitable size and weight for the pony. Lead Rein Ponies are NOT permitted.
This class may be split at the Championships into: Small Breeds, Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh Section A and B.
b) Large Breeds, Highlands, Dales, Fell, New Forest, Connemara, Welsh Section C and D.
